The ".win" community is expanding to be a reddit replacement: communities.win
And there's new sub communities to check out.
communities.win/c/gaming seems especially relevant to us.
If we want a reddit replacement to take off we're gonna need to participate and make it into what we wish reddit was.
edit:
c/gaming
Does linking like this work?
Oh cool, it does!
edit edit:
Crap, I just noticed i mispelled the address in the title.
It should be "communities.win".
That community bans things based on an arbitrary principle. What is a "sex game"? Is Mass Effect 2 a sex game? It features sex. God of War has overt sex scenes. Sengoku Rance also has overt sex scenes, at about the same level of explicitness, but I can somehow "Sense" that it would be banned, while God Of War would not be.
And "we don't want to hear about your waifus" I think confirms that it is an explicit anti-Japanese sentiment, especially considering posts concerning female western leads were on the front page when I checked it.
I don't support bigotry, so I don't think I can support a bigoted community like c/gaming that promises to have a clear bias.
EDIT: If you can point out to me a community free of such hate, though, I'd for sure join in with it.
Agreed. The populace should decide what they want, including creation of pocket cliques like any healthy community.
