The language that took a German(ish) base, bolted a French(ish) vocabulary on top, then added a dose of Latin(ish) via the Church, then went to sea and grabbed whatever terminology it needed from every nation it collided with (friendly or not)... is racist.

Don't forget Greek, via medicine, mostly. Seroiusly, working as a medical dictatypist (correspondence) made it that much easier to learn Greek once I got past getting the alphabet right.
