In Iraq, the US barred all the Ba'athist bureaucrats from employment in major institutions and disbanded the army. This created a country full of managers without anything to manage and an army without purpose or direction, which would eventually become ISIS for obvious reasons.
A similar thing is happening as demoralized police quit and the witch hunts for white supremacists ramp up. Either nothing was learned from the Powell doctrine or an endless civil war within the US is the goal.
When the run on ammo & guns happened this time around I felt from the beginning that this was something different. I've been through ammo/gun runs before, but shit like shotgun ammo was always still around. Went to my local Academy today and there were 3 boxes of 300WSM...and that was it. Not a box of shotgun ammo in the store. It was the last to go, but it's gone now. I can honestly say I've never seen this in my 40+ years of life.
But it wasn't just ammo and guns, but tactical gear, plates, you name it. People are gearing up for war.
So the Biden administration is starting by deliberately alienating the National Guard? This is not how you go about preventing a civil war.

TIL something about the formation of ISIS. And history rhymes if it does not repeat.
If that is the case, we should be looking at an outbreak of a civil war within a few years at most.
