They say underage students shouldn't be assigned adult reading material. This is an interesting thing from multiple angles.

I genuinely believe students who are underage shouldn't be admitted to an adult learning institution if they think that. You want to learn like grown people do? Well. Accept that they will talk about adult topics in adult ways.
What is adult material? You are not allowed to mention anything that involves sex or violence to underage people? There goes history, all forms of art art, a lot of science like biology, you can't even talk about sports because some of them have roots in history and cultural things that did contain sex and violence.
How young can you be when you go to college? a 17-year-old will be an adult in a matter of months. If said kid is such a pussy he can't take fucking art history because muh fee fees, then I hope he will be under guardianship forever, because he is mentally stunted.

How young can you be when you go to college?

Well, technically I was in college when I was 14 or 15 due to dual enrollment in high school. And I had a classmate that was 1 year younger than that due to skipping a grade. It's not unheard of 12- or 13-year-old math savants going to college. Nonetheless, the solution is slapping a 18+ warning on the book/course catalog, not shutting down an entire school, if anything. Even in conservative southern states, schools give sex ed at a young age, which shows you a pic of dick/balls/pussy/boobs, so they're not scarring anyone.
