ASUSxHololive stream got cancelled Discussion (self.Hololive) submitted 6 hours ago * by seankao31
source:
"I just learned from the comment section that a regional branch of our company has a collab stream with hololive."
" 1.China branch isn't aware of this. Each branch is responsible for their own region.
2.However, everyone knows us as a whole brand, and being a Chinese company [1] we take it seriously. We hope to cancel the stream.
3.Hololive f*ck ur mom."

Why would China not want this? Is there some political undertone I’m not aware of?
tldr; wumao saw a Taiwan flag, got triggered
IIRC Hololive vtuber Coco once showed a youtube engagement screenshot of her channel. It had a Taiwanese flag on it.
Chinese mad. Demand Hololive company to "recognize One China policy" "Taiwan is province of China" as otherwise it's "hatred of Chinese." Or some wumao shit.
Coco got temp banned from streaming to placate Chinese, but no statement cause company is non-political and milquetoast.
Chinese still raging mad. So Chinese also regularly spam Firefox addon... that only mainland China can ser - as proof they totally epic trolled Coco.
Think the wumaos tried to sink Gura's channel as well.
chinese got angry with a hololive JP member coco mentioning taiwan once (to the point that hololive CN branch had to be scraped) and they have been holding a grudge ever since(even after hololive had suspended her for a few weeks but chinese wanted her gone completely
