At least in Bosnia and Herzegovina they have one of each ethnic group be co-president. The Lebanese system is nonsense because each branch will never be balanced in power.

That's because it was meant to stabalize the war and formalize territory. It's like drawing a political border around the no-man's land you created between enemy positions.
