St. Vincent questions whether or not her rejection was due to being American. During her application process she was in a group of around 20 people, approximately 17 of whom were from the Philippines.
“Most of them were not even finishing the exams because they couldn’t speak English,” she said. “And I know that you have a lot of Philippine nurses here, which is fine, because I’m sure they provide excellent care.”

They are letting in foreigners who can't speak English, but a Nurse with all that experience from America? She can't handle it?
