Herbert Hoover was right, America should have stayed out of the war.

FDR provoked the attack on Pearl by shutting out Fumimaro Konoe, causing Konoe's premiership to fail and leading to Tojo becoming prime minister. Communications exist between US Ambassador Joseph Grew and Secretary of State Cordell Hull where Grew accuses Hull of deliberately sabotaging Konoe's government to get a more belligerent one.
