I'm actually impressed by how often they match their stereotype. I can't think of many of them that don't, and that applies to the ones who are supposedly on our side too.
We recently hired someone at work, and as soon as I saw the photo I thought "this is the sort of person who's going to be offended by every fucking thing". Sure enough I was in a meeting with this person, and they managed to take offense at things said by no less than two people.
I read something awhile back on the subject that I'll never be able to find again that went something like:
My dad to me at 10: "don't play with those kids: I don't like the shape of their skulls"
Me at 20: "WTF was dad talking about? You can't tell anything from the shape of someone's skull"
Me at 35, to my children: "don't play with those kids: I don't like the shape of their skulls"
Help im noticing things
