Misogyny is a big driving factor behind GG and a lot of male gamers feel like there is no place for women in video games, whether it be playing them, creating them, or writing about them.
Discounting the fact this isn't true for the majority of people here... (Even I don't care if they play, just don't ask for everything to spew their fucked up propaganda. Oh, and don't be on my team.)
Nobody can answer this, to the point of me actually wanting to create a post purely to discuss it.
Why do women gatekeep their own hobbies obsessively, but then call out anyone who tries to do the same to them?
You see this with women's sport, where the vast majority of journalists, coaches and fans are women. They clearly don't want men around - but we have to accept them in our sport? Why? I was fine with the arm's length relationship where they leech just enough to avoid bankruptcy but stay on their side away from us.
Ah, that is partly true, but they actively shut men out of paid roles within those sports. It's a deliberate choice, consistent along all female hobbies, but then they have the nerve to encroach into our things.
