Back then we didn't had Pornhub and Amazon. That's why when you wanted to get anything you had to get out of your house and put up with other people.

Also you couldn't just block someone on twitter so if someone gave you shit you either handled it or ignored and let it temper your patience.

This kind of environment naturally produced sturdy people.
