I've met people in the military who've never heard of the My Lai massacre. I'm a history buff, and I looked into the Vietnam War for a long time.

The Warrant Officer, and helicopter pilot, Hugh Thompson, (and his surviving crew) whom stopped the killing gives lectures on ethics & leadership at most of the Officer Schools to this day as an honored guest.
