This is something that's been on my mind for the last couple days that I think the rest of you need to consider.

I've used the internet since 1992. Those of you old enough to remember the internet in those days know what this means. It means Lynx. NCSA Mosaic. Gopher. Usenet. FTP. Mail you actually had to download. Netscape and Yahoo didn't exist until '94. For most of the later 90's if you wanted to have a website you had something on Geocities. Tripod. Lycos. Search engines were crap and indexes like Yahoo/ODP were manually curated. If you wanted to talk to people you went on Yahoo chat groups and put up with weirdos, or went on phpBBs and put up power-trippy moderators.

I have seen multiple generations of not just sites, but site technologies and paradigms come and go. Facebook is no different.

It is literally just a website. Nothing more. It can be replaced as casually as typing in a different url.

But muh convenience...

But nothing. I never asked for the internet to exist and was getting along fine without it.

Shadowlands just isn't doing it for me. I look at my characters, in full kit warfront armor, and I look at the factions and the Shadowlands armors and dungeons, and all I feel is "Nah."

I played my Velf warlock up to 60 and I just can't be bothered to do it again. It's just not fun, there's several hours of unskippable narration if you add up all the quests. The story and setting are a mess, they've succeeded in making the afterlife look like the FUCKING DMV.

The Kyrian zone irritated me more than anything else. I'm supposed to motivate some whiny wuss acolyte and I'm thinking where's the option where I say "Do you know who I am? See this scythe? I'm gonna ram it up the jailer's ass and rip his spine out like a zipper." Genuinely pleased when the place went to hell and I'm like "now we're talking" and start summoning kamikaze demons.

"Draenor and Legion Pathfinders will now be purchasable directly from flying trainers."

I said I'd never do those attunements and I meant it.

Are the mods ever going to lock old KIA2 to force the issue? There's still a thousand people online over there.

So why didn't we just call it gamergate.win?
