Nope they literally draft people from the past to do seven-day tours in the future war zone. And most of them don’t make it back.
It insinuates that they are taking people they knew were going to be dead before the alien invasion begins, in order to avoid “paradox” but it doesn’t really make any sense.
Yeeaaaahhh let’s kill off all our ancestors before the war even happens! No wonder they are running out of people in the future. Must be liberal generals running the war.
It’s basically the Chris-Pratt-kicks-alien-ass show. Oh and he has a lot of black people around him at all times. Somewhat overt agenda if you’re looking for it, but not obnoxious about it.
Try not to think too hard about the plot holes and it’s an okay enough action sci-fi. Just don’t expect much other than pew pew and exploding aliens. You really don’t care about any of the characters except Chris, but the aliens look cool at least.
I hope Veritas was filming.
