Star wars wiki (Wookieepedia) now has pronouns in character pages. Even the Harry Potter wiki doesn't do this with their character pages . by yoisi

Desu is somewhat similar to a "to be" type verb in Japanese. Regardless much of 4ch auto changes "imo" to "desu" when you post.
