How is R/Nintedo Switch lately? Is it still cringe topics like 'I nearly died and BOTW saved me!!!!' or 'Look Mighty bananas in real life!!' type posts or 'I played my Switch on the toilet!'?

Actually one post that was legit I found was at a national park showing off a mini stone talus formation recently but most are just people being stupid jack asses and somehow get 1.8K million thumbs up where your post will be lucky to get 10.

At one time they were a go to source for latest discussion and talk and creative fan ideas but now it's just a smaller Reddit clique mentality. Any better alternatives?

I tried to get a discussion once going about the climate system of BOTW because I wanted to know how it worked and ways to improve it (besides allowing you to climb in the rain) as I felt a lot of unrealistic effects were present but nobody understood me and the same shit posts overpowered mine. I called out on said shit posts and got infractions and nearly banned. I had quit going as I felt they went out of their way to make me feel unwelcomed.

I noticed a lot of users that used to be there are gone and it's just the same couple of people and few mods chewing the fat in the same threads eventually circling the wagons.

On message boards I post to remind people that a certain pandemic is likely why we have all these delays and to not get your hopes up and I also ask if they think Nintendo is badly f'ked up with this remote work stuff hence the crappy releases and they somehow think on here and elsewhere I'm a government shill or a Nintendo bot.

I don't go to talk about my favorite games anymore because it's all circle jerking and 'My favorite' topics over and over again no theories or anything that requires thinking that you can't just post a WIKIA link too or otherwise they think your trolling.

I got banned because I incited deeper thought conversation which is supposedly a crime now that can't be covered by a wiki article or something. 😢 Nobody gives a shit now beyond 'I broooooooke my Swiiiiiiiiitch' or 'Grandma got a free Swiiiiiiiiiiiiitch!' which gets 500 or more votes. And most posts are just memes of people doing shitty things in their game offering no conversation pattern beyond hive mind responses.

My eyes are really bothering me so I cannot explain better. 😢
