These girls are just lonely and the easiest thing to do is to become closer to other lonely girls. And they are confused and groomed and these feelings are indulged by their well-meaning but stupid parents. I feel bad for the kids because they aren’t learning how to be self-reliant and are encouraged to wallow in their own insecurities. They are not equipped to make adult decisions.

You can’t really be friends with these people anymore. How they raise their kids is none of your business but I understand your exasperation because you don’t want to see this girl ruin her life. They will never understand your point of view and will chalk it up to homophobia.
