Beyond the woke shit they do EA has been an anti-consumer dumpster fire for as long as I've been aware of them (about 12 years now). I was (and still am) a huge Sims 3 player, and there's all kinds of unethical shit they did with that over a decade ago even if it doesn't hold a candle to the shit they do now. They also destroyed the SimCity franchise by sabotaging SimCity 2013 and then scapegoating Maxis so they would have an excuse to destroy it. I played SimCity 4 which was decent, and SimCity 2000 was released before Maxis was bought out. For those of you who are older or have been following this stuff longer than I have, was EA ever a good company or have they been scamming their customers from the beginning?
When I was a kid they were everywhere and it was a just a matter of Googling, but now I can only find a few sites buried under mountains of retarded shit from bloggers, and they don't seem as extensive as they used to be. I have fond memories of reading through a never ending list of jokes then sharing them with friends or whoever else wanted to hear them. I was wondering if anyone knew of any sites where that's still a thing, or even just older sites that got buried under the piles of shit.
I'm curious about what kind of country music people here listen to. I'm a newcomer to the genre, having only started enjoying it during Covid. Anything that's older or from known conservative artists is a bonus, but I'm interested in anything you guys listen to.
I'm sure everyone here has at least one series that the post title brings to mind, but the 2021 Rugrats reboot is what inspired this post. They haven't gone woke as far as I'm aware but they've completely shit all over the original series.
They're using CGI animation as opposed to the 2D animation the original and All Grown Up used, and it's fucking obnoxious. CGI is completely overrated as an animation style and Jimmy Neutron is the only series I can think of where it made a positive contribution. It's one thing to use it in a brand new franchise but why is it so much to ask to stick to the original style in a reboot?
Then there's the fact that they wiped their asses with the original storyline. They retconned how Kira and Chas met, replacing the Rugrats in Paris storyline with some retarded plot about them meeting over free piano lessons that Kimmy won. Dil doesn't even appear in the series, despite his birth taking place before Kimmy and Kira were introduced in the original. These aren't minor inconsistencies that autists obsess about. They're the two biggest events in the entire series that introduced new characters and storylines and did it very well. Like I said I'm not aware of the series going woke, so I don't understand the motivation for shitting all over the original.
We all know that trying to get non-pozzed responses to anything involving hot button political/social topics from Big Tech trained AI models is a fool's errand, but I'm wondering if anyone has found them to be of any use when it comes to programming. Despite what a number of my professors say, some of whom are definitely not diversity hires, I haven't found them to be of any use. Maybe it's because I'm only asking hard or niche questions when I can't find the answer elsewhere, but I haven't gotten any help from the bots in my programming tasks. The last time I tried it invented modules to a package out of thin air. Had those modules actually existed I wouldn't have needed to ask the question to begin with. From what I've seen the most it can do is help pajeets cheat in their programming 101 classes. Has anyone here had a different experience?
