It seems to me that foreign nationals should not be able to enter the United States with the express intent to influence a US election.

In some nations (eg. Mexico) political activity on the part of foreign nationals is outright illegal.

Regarding political petitioning, only citizens have this right.

Only citizens of the Republic may take part in the political affairs of the country.
