I've actually stopped holding doors open for anybody other than family. Politeness and manners haven't been a thing in western society for decades now. I actually worry that I'll piss somebody off by doing something nice, as there are too many mentally unstable people walking around. A shame really, but it is the way it is. Thank hippies for ruining the social fabric that kept us all together.

With that said, most doors are automatic now so it's not really an issue anymore.
