At the very least, it shows her young fans that they can enjoy her music, but that she's an idiot when it comes to politics. Why do you think Ricky Gervais kept calling out Hollywood? Because some people don't know any better and think these entertainment workers have some kind of deeper insight than the average person. I think teaching young fans that they can enjoy an artist while not blindly following any political cause that's being pushed is important.
