I have been wondering if academics can just shape the students to their vision and at the same time leeching off the money from their parents and government, would it be possible to brainwash marxist commies to original state no matter how old they may be when the pendulum swings back?
People are generally reluctant to start a civil war because we would like to go back to sanity with as little violence as possible but I'm thinking the other side wouldn't even consider the dialogue. They will just let their delusions continue kicking and screaming. I hardly think they will concede peacefully and start contributing because they have nothing else in life they got going for.
With that in mind I wonder what would be the most humane solution. Let's face it, progressives are deluding themselves that they have the edge in winning the civil war for some reason, so they won't compromise, they won't start a dialogue, they won't stop rioting. The last option is really reopen the mental asylum and get them to lobotomy surgeries or brainwash them back.
I think one of the big issues is, at least at present, the right is made up of more individualistic people and ideals. I'm generally strongly in favor of that, versus collectivism, but one big failing is, based on those principles, individualists believe in letting everyone make up their own mind. So collectivists without those principles unfortunately end up getting free reign with their propaganda because, being collectivists, they believe everyone should think like them, think the Correct Way.
Honestly, if you did have a right-collectivist movement, it would probably be back to along religious lines. There are certainly some upsides to that, and I prefer it to the current communist-collectivist bullshit, but religious collectivism still isn't what I'd want.
I think the focus should be not on countering indoctrination with indoctrination, but countering indoctrination with anti-indoctrination, and cleaning up the academic systems. Stop indoctrination from both sides. Might be too utopianist, but that's my ideal solution. Let people make up their own minds, but stop overt propaganda and subversion measures.
No, I think it's because conservatives literally conserve, and they have not created a path forward, toward individual rights. Ever since the Left jumped on the Socialist/Communist bandwagon, America has been deprived of an innovating voice in public policy.
