I help run discord server of about 250 people, and 'No Politics' is one of the first rules you see upon joining. We nuke the MAGA talk every bit as fast as we nuke the BLM talk.
Our server is for fun shit; games, movies, music, art, crafting, porn. Escapist stuff. Our server is NOT for arguments, especially those that invariably end with someone calling someone else Hitler or Stalin.
Yeah, I was always taught "you don't talk about politics or religion in polite company" . It was considered the epitome of rudeness. Now that I can't fucking get away from those discussions, I understand why it was considered so impolite.
Social media was a fucking mistake. It wasn't until all these fucking normie-boomers got dumped unto the internet that shit got bad. Then your retarded feminist sister was screeching about how your uncle was a white supremacist because he thought Obama was a foreigner that couldn't be president. That's the point. These people are trying to remove any place for anyone to escape to.
Just like Communism, one of it's major failure point is people being able to leave.
