I have a theory.

The reason they're so aggressive in calling people out is because this is a chance to be hostile and be cheered for it. They don't actually care about the issue.

The Chinese Flu has given a lot of people the chance to act holier than thou, in my country there's still people who think people who go for a walk with their kids are literally killing people.
