Just because they're not shooting at you doesn't mean you're not at war, boys and girls
Maybe it's time to start treating them like the active threat they are. How many times do we gotta get hit before the political will to hit back arrives?
Getting violent at this stage would be stupid. If it comes to that, the first thing people should do is "protest" around the buildings of every media org that incited the riots, not waste bullets on brainwashed insurrectionists. The media is what enables their scumfuckery. After the media is sorted, then academia will need to be dealt with, not only as an incubator for radicalised scum but because it has shat its credibility down the drain and veered far off the path of science.
Maybe, but I'd argue it's becoming clear that there will be a stage at which we should become violent, lest we become utterly enslaved to these forces. I worry we'll hit that threshold, not recognize it and simply accept our shackles. I don't want that future.
At some point if there is no other recourse, yes, but keep in mind that if that did happen while the media is running propaganda for them, they will be able to spin that violence in their favour through lies and marshal the entire country against you in a very serious way.
Ok, so what stops the media from running propaganda? I don't see any mechanisms by which to hold them accountable or create an incentive for them to stop running propaganda. We've already seen that financial incentives don't work to stop the messaging.
There may not ever be a window of opportunity during which the media isn't running propaganda. Do we just never act if that's the case?
