You're expecting them to actually know something about Africa, and that there, your ethnic group or even religion is far more important that sharing a somewhat similar skin color, which I guess it is what shocks them about Africans not accepting them as their "brothers/sisters", they see that they're both black, so they have to be the same, right? Well, no... that's not really how it works.
