You already know the answer. Basically, it wasn't leftist enough.
If you're a leftist/sjw sub like AgainstHateSubreddits, or TopMindsOfReddit, you can link to as many posts/comments as you want, and brigade as much you want. If you're not, all of a sudden, it's "against the site rules", and they come after you.
