Been watching a MacBook repairman for a while, and found this gem. Essentially the city will become empty because:
Everything that people would stay in NYC to do and be worth the taxes is closed due to quarantine,
Taxes are terrible
Foreign wealthy people (probably mainly CCP) own hundreds, if not thousands of buildings that they don’t care to rent because it’s just there for tax writeoffs.
Just food for thought. Ideally, my solution to this would be a vacancy tax for commercially coded buildings, but I’d love to know if anyone had a better idea than that. Oh, also for Congress to pass a law stating foreigners aren’t allowed to own more than a certain amount of property in the whole country, if they can own any property at all.
New York City real-estate has other problems. Check out this article. People are leaving New York so fast that they're buying houses that they've never even seen. They're discovering that they like life outside of New York and they're not coming back.

Remember that the people voted into power in NY are the ones that set the policies that drove you to flee for your life. Vote differently than those that chased you from your home wherever you end up and you'll help keep it a safe home.
For some reason, only ex-USSR and ex-Cubans actually do so. Everyone else (including ex-Venezuelans) votes to shit up the place they moved to. And the kids of the Cubans do too.
The people out on the streets didn't vote.
