I have no problem with killing a raccoon, or any other wild animal, especially if you're putting a fatally wounded one out of its misery, but for the love of humanity, make it a clean kill.

This is torturing a living thing for the pleasure of watching it suffer. This is below even the behavior of animals (except, perhaps, cats).
