As a "puberty hitting late enough to cause distress" guy, I can say that it takes a huge toll on both your mental anxiety and your interpersonal relationships, especially dating. I was fortunate mine still came through towards the tail end of high school and turned me into a properly oversized man. I can only imagine what toll it would take to not only never have it happen, but to reverse it in strange medical ways.
