I'm reminded of Hazbin Hotel, where the main character Charlie is also bi and gets called a Disney princess by fans. Except Charlie is the Princess of Hell and the show rips on her saccharine idealism.
SJWs don't like it because it features LGBT characters in hell, so of course that means the creator hates gay people with a burning passion, it can't be that she(?) thinks they're just like everyone else and you shouldn't have to make them perfect Mary Sues that can't do no wrong.
Are there other gay characters in the show? Maybe people just noticed that there are quite a lot of gay people in hell compared to the real world and drew their own conclusion.
There's a few gay people in Hazbin Hotel. Charlotte/Charlie and her GF Vaggie (one born in hell as a demon, one a human dying of unknown sins, but she reacts to stress with violence, so probably not a good person). Angel Dust is a gay, "but twenty bucks is twenty bucks" straight-for-pay drug-addicted pornstar, and was all those things in life, too (so hell-bound regardless of gay-ness).
The asexual character is an actively murderous psychopath whose sole joy in life is the pain and suffering of others. He's certainly not in hell because he's not hetero.
But I think the main offending thing is that SJWs are idiots and missing the point of the show. A newscaster refuses to shake hands with a character, saying "I don't touch the gays. I have standards.", and they respond with "how's that working out for you?" looking at a sign saying "HELL news". EVERYONE in the show is in Hell for a reason, and only one single character's reason is "I was just born here". Everyone else deserves to be there. It isn't a cartoon about heaven. And I think them presenting it as everyone being on a spectrum of hedonist to sadist and everyone being a bit psychopathic from the experience of living in Hell threw off the Social Justice audience a bit.

Did they cram it down your throat though?
Not good enough to just "have" abc characters for disney.
