On New Year's Eve 2019, a 7-year-old girl names Jazmine Barnes was murdered while she was sitting in a car. She was black. Nothing unusual about that, black children regularly become the victims of shootings, and neither the media nor any other purveyors of perpetual black victimhood generally give a damn.

The Barnes case was different. Her mother had seen a white man in a car speed away after the shooting. This white man was assumed to be the shooter. So guess what, it quickly became a national news story, with racism simply being assumed because of the races were different.

A ambulance-chasing 'civil rights' attorney named Lee Merritt quickly attached himself to the family, and started playing up the racial angle even more. Even when he was getting a haircut and the - presumably black - barber bemoaned that Barnes had been shot in a gang shooting, he berated his barber and blamed the attack on 'white terrorists'. He bragged about this interaction on Twitter.

It later turned out that the shooter had been black, and that it involved a case of mistaken identity, but not before Shaun King had pinned the crime on an innocent white man who later committed suicide. Suddenly, the story disappeared into thin air. The lying media lost all interest in it, just like they never had any interest in any shootings of "black and brown" children when these could not be pinned on white people. To their credit, the Barnes family apologized for mistakenly believing that the white man was the shooter. Unlike Merritt, I don't think they had any ill intent. But their misprision led to people caring about the case who otherwise never would have cared about a 7-year-old girl being murdered.

1.5 years later, another child was murdered, Cannon Hinnant, because - allegedly - he was riding his bike and accidentally entered the lawn of his neighbor. There is a complete media blackout on the Cannon Hinnant case. You can guess why, because if the races were reversed, not only would it get wall-to-wall media coverage, not only would racism be assumed, Donald Trump would probably be blamed for it. I may add that the murderer was let out under the soft-on-crime policies advocated for by the lying media.

The lying media is not interested in innocent lives - blacks, children, anything. It is only interested in exploiting whatever murders it can to push its agenda. As Thomas Sowell has explained, the SJWs adopt mascots in whose name they purport to fight their fights, but it is never about the interests of these mascots, and always about the egos of these SJWs.

Who can escape the conclusion that the media is the enemy of the people? Lying and inciting racial hatred are all they're good for.
