I have no idea why Jews keep agitating like this. If her suicidal vision of the future ever came to pass, Jews would immediately be crushed between their pet joggers and an army of very, very angry white people who know exactly what they did.
I'm guessing that the fail safe plan is to bail out to Israel if things go hot, but without the US acting as their personal ATM and mercenary force then Palestine is going to fuck them hard.
People like Eric Weinstein explain why all the time: Jews frequently consider themselves "strangers in a strange land" and therefore are sympathetic to other outsider groups and as a result advocate for inclusive "big tent" policies.
Those "true believers" who genuinely believe what I've written above I think also believe that this will engender goodwill between Jews and those other groups. On this I think they are wrong, and that they will be the sort yelling "we're on your side!" as bricks are thrown through their windows.

Will Israel even want them though? Sure they're Jews, but they won't be culturally Israeli. And Israel's a small nation which may not be able to contain all the people wishing to return if things go hot. Who's to say they don't change their laws related to "right of return" to make it more difficult/impossible to get citizenship?

And people ignore it because it is damn hard to believe. They're suposed to be smart, how come they can't see that there is no redeeming themselves in the eyes of their sworn enemies? This really sounds like the kind of explanation you don't even believe yourself, that you spit out when you feel like you have to say something. If anything, Weinstein sounds like he's trying to convince himself when he says that.

How often do they live next to them? It's very possible to be smart but just plain ignorant on certain matters, and Weinstein strikes me as incredibly ignorant in this area (his political "solution" is "we need a STEM PhD philosopher-king". Great: every nation in human history probably would have benefited from a philosopher-king, but those are in extremely short supply. Now what?)

All those I've known have rather extended families they religiously keep track of. They can't not know. Maybe its sample bias on my part.
