COPmala was legit the most vile & awful person running in the Dem primary. Other than Stacey Abrams I can't think of a more terrible choice, even Susan Rice & Ducksworth would've been better.
The fact he wasn't even considering Tulsi (a WoC, war vet, & member of a minority religion) shows the Dems don't actually give a shit about feminism, racism, religious discrimination etc.
Plus Tulsi could actually appeal to Trump-leaning voters. No moderate is going to be swayed by Harris.
What are the odds Biden meant the 80s WWF wrestler Kamala The Ugandan Giant but didn't know he just died?
No its not a thing. There was no white-knighting of Tulsi. The only thing that happened is that right wingers were also watching the primary debates and were coming to the obvious conclusion that Tulsi stood the best chance against Trump in a general election. Some never-Trumpers latched onto her, but their opinions are at the absolute height of irrelevance.
Her chances against him in a general election had less to do with her policies, and more on her willingness to sink to Trump's level when debating him, and the relative ease at which she does so.

I don't really want to live through more right wingers white knighting Gabbard.
