Just the usual insecure search for praise and accolades for simply existing that these groups frequently roleplay. They'll rally around, talk about how "stunning and brave™" the OP is, then they'll scour the comments for people who slip up in some way to sacrifice -- so they can all join together in a virtue party.
Must have been a super tough decision to come to. Thank goodness Animal Crossing was around to help make such an important life decision so easy.
Years prowling the dark recesses of the internet can change a person... Make them notice certain things -- patterns. Like a sixth sense, you'll intuitively understand the pernicious mindset of self-designated pariahs, and then bear witness as they gleefully self-destruct and then castigate others for it. It's a dark world... and like Nietzsche said: "When you stare into the abyss... etc. etc."
I'm kidding, of course. Although, It'd be funnier if it sadly wasn't somewhat true!
