They are well organized, but lack institutional knowledge. They are never going to be CAG, but they can be the FSA.

Look at their reaction to the negligent discharge at the NFAC excercise. That is a bad attempt at a cross between establishing 360 degree security and a patrol base. Establishing a 360 degree security perimeter is a never ending task, and these idiots finally realized why it is important when they started getting shot—in the most hysterical way possible.

They tried to make a small triangle in a giant lawn. Normally a patrol base is a platoon sized triangle with machine guns at each vertex, there is good spacing between every pair of guys, and the legs are at least 100m long even in dense rainforest. They aren't meant for urban terrain. It is designed to let the head shed in the middle plan, while the guys on the line can eat/sleep/clean in shifts. The kneeling thing is also what a good private will do by instinct, "when in doubt, face out."

They are making a very bad attempt at real military tactics. There is potential for an army here. Take them seriously.
