All it is a way for "nice" people to say, they too know black people are less intelligent in comparison to themselves.

I'm not Hindu lol
But your point still stands. They'll keep upping the rule book. White Privilege today. Brahmin Privilege the day after. Jewish Privilege coming up day after tomorrow.
That's the thing though, in India, that's LITERALLY HOW IT IS, and it's state sanctioned. Like, codified in employment and education policies. You can be discriminated against on the basis of basically your family name.
People who think America has this systematic oppression... NO, but these other countries today do.
Not just family name but also by religion.
For some reason, Muslims are considered as OBC (Other Backward Classes) and are eligible for reservations but if you're born a Christian and you're not Latin Catholic or Roman Catholic, you don't get anything. You are stuck with General category.
The most retarded thing is Latin Catholicism and Roman Catholicism is treated as castes in India. When did Christianity have the caste system? When did Islam have a caste system? Only Hinduism had a caste system.
The second largest religion followed in India is Islam. Latin and Roman Catholics are some of the biggest denominations of Christianity in the world. Under what basis are they considering them as OBC in India? It makes no sense.
The caste system is the reason why our government is so corrupt. Because of these so called "reservations", people who are unfit to serve in government are the ones in it. A true death of meritocracy. The caste system is such a mess that even the Supreme Court Of India said that it was the curse of the country. I agree. People don't wanna give up the benefits they get from reservations.
The whole system is a mess.
As an NRI that moved to India awhile back, I realised that Americans (including myself at one point) have no clue what systematic oppression is.
India's reservations is the perfect example for what will happen to America when stuff like accommodations hit the extreme.
Although there is admittedly some flaws in the system that's in place in the US, to extrapolate it as a mass-issue is ridiculous at best. It's more like some drops in the bucket, and if you work smart, and you can avoid those too.
