FUCK REDDIT: Currently nuking my account before I delete it. I recommend you do the same.

The tool I use for this is Power Delete Suite https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite, it's a Javascript bookmarklet you use that doesn't need any login credentials or anything. Works perfectly and you can even filter by comment score or specific subreddit if you want to keep certain comments for some reason.
Is that what the OP is using?
No, his is something I've never heard of. It probably works just as well though.
I will probably do the same. Only suggestion would be to save/copy any good informative comments in your history or in your save folder. Like if you have comments saved that include evidence disproving a mainstream narrative, comments that make good arguments against common talking points, and so on.
Is there an advantage to nuking it first?
Also, what if you're banned? Comments can't be seen by others and reddit surely still has the comments if nuked?
Apparently Reddit only saves the latest version of comments/posts. I have no idea if this is true or not, but nuking it overwrites the comments and posts so the latest version is not the original comment. Doesn't hurt to do in my opinion.
Eh if you're going to delete your account you might as well subvert as many subreddits as you can until they ban you.
