As someone who followed gg at the beginning but not too closely (although I am very much for what it’s message is ) I wasn’t aware that there were ever 2 KiA. Could someone give me the cliffs notes version of what happened?
I did notice that KiA had a “whitelist” and a “blacklist” on topics to be discussed which put me off a bit.
I am still sadden that the KiA mods got control of kotakuinaction.win...
All of the mods are 100% opposed to t_d so i am surprised they would even want a .win community
They're anticipating the death of reddit and want to take control of whatever is likely to be next.
I think they just took it out of spite so we wouldn't get it.
Reading Bane's "olive branch" post and his arrogant assumption that THEY were the community and we just a lost flock of lambs, that's 100% the reason.
Telling them all to fuck off in the announcement thread was pretty fun. I got to use all the words that are banned on Reddit and then some, and they did not appreciate it. I think they'd forgotten what the Internet looks like when they aren't running the show.
It's pretty tough to find a comment of theirs on the announcement thread that isn't downboated like the Titanic.
Charitable explanation: because they wanted to escape the oppressive grasp of Reddit.
Non-charitable explanation: because they're the vanguard for leftist entryism into the dotwin domain..
The Donald mods, who are TheDonald.Win admins.
I think that half-KiA is coasting on their old reputation (and ours over here at 2) to slip under the radar.
