As most probably caught, Amouranth had a home invasion in an attempt to rob her crypto. Husband shot one robber and the rest fled.
Colion does a half hour rundown with them both, at their house and using security camera footage as well.
If nothing else this is the kind of stuff that can help mainstream 2A and self defense going forward. Also is an excellent illustration of how shit a defensive situation is, cause almost nothing went "right", but the outcome ended well.
I couldn't care about this incident other than highlighting NEVER brag about your wealth online and the importance of 2A.
But something I wanted to always ask Americans on home defense, which is better:
Hand gun or shotgun? Of course there is both and more as an option but heat of the moment, both are there in front of you, you hear a noise downstairs, which do you immediately grab?
Carbine also a good option. Unless body armor is involved, it's got most of the pros of both pistols and rifles, while being more maneuverable and controllable. But I'm no expert and, honestly, a big part of it is that I just think they're cool, too.
Honestly, doesn't matter too much...the main factor is training; just be comfortable, preferably to an instinctual level to help overcome the stress/adrenaline, and you're set. There's a reason training is so often emphasized and encouraged.
I've seen in the movies those rifles that you reload with a spinning move. I don't know what those are but it's so cool the robbers will appreciate getting shot with them.
I would.
You're probably talking lever action.
Yeah i think that's what it's called.
