Looking at some of the reviews, Japan seems to have the same problem with woke fucks giving it a 5 star just because it fits their politics, whilst most sane people give it a 1 star. Regardless only 1k people bought the game and the woke fucks can't do anything about that .
This is the most upvoted review in Japanese amazon on AC shadows.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is a game that is lacking in warnings and disclaimers, so please be careful. Below we will add information that should normally be included in the precautions and disclaimers, so please be careful when considering your purchase.
Assassin's Creed Shadows is a game created with the purpose of falsifying Japanese history. Although it is officially a work of fiction, UBIsoft and the production team are creating it as "the true history of Japan." Please refrain from playing this game if you have any emotional attachment to Japanese history and culture.
Assassin's Creed Shadows is a game created with the purpose of brainwashing players with Black Lives Matter (BLM) ideology. The film is based mainly on the records of Jesuit missionaries, whose historical accuracy is questionable, and portrays Yasuke, a servant of Oda Nobunaga, as a legendary samurai. Yasuke is portrayed in a highly distorted way, with him being highly fluent in Japanese immediately after arriving in Japan, taking command of the Oda army and burning down Iga within six months of arriving, and being seduced by Oichi and having a sexual relationship with her. Those with an emotional attachment to Japanese history and culture should refrain from playing this game, as it may cause nausea, vomiting, fainting, insanity, and other physical problems that may interfere with your daily life and leave you with lasting aftereffects.
To complete the trophy, it is necessary to rob the Daisenryo Tomb (the tomb of Emperor Nintoku). In the overseas version, you can freely cut off the heads of Japanese people with a sword, and you can freely destroy the sacred object by stepping on the shrine's main hall in your shoes. Those who respect the Japanese Imperial Family or who value Shinto should refrain from playing this game, as it may cause nausea, vomiting, fainting, insanity, and other physical symptoms that may interfere with daily life and leave lasting effects.
jesus, that's worse than i thought
