I find it funny how much BBC cares about Voice of America no longer getting government funding for propaganda.
There's a rich history from William Stephenson, Alistair Cooke and Martin Amis to Melvyn Bragg and Bill Bryson, it's a far greater network than that but this can give you a rough idea of the old boys' club never really having left America to itself, as best it can anyway.
Why would George Orwell's guardian of the Kohinoor become less friendly with Oceania and more friendly with Eurasia?
