The only scenario they will accept is backing a wounded Russia into a corner and hoping they don’t press the nuclear button. I don’t think Putin would do it before that. If you actually watch Putin he’s not remotely unhinged. They just don’t like him because he (gasp) puts the interests of Russia first.
