Cena heel turn was cool but should’ve happened 12 to 15 years ago. Still not as big of a moment as Hogan’s turn or Austin at WM17. I am interested to see what happens on the road to mania. Cargill beating up Naomi was a swerve but I figured it wouldn’t be as cut and dry as Liv Morgan being the culprit. I think CM Punk will be champ sometime

I'm not a big fan of women's wrestling so opening with two womens matches wasn't my scene. The crowd booing the anthem and Logan Paul coming out with the flag for cheap heat, really bugged me. The Elimination Chambers were both pretty good.
The whole Rock/Cody storyline is weird to me. The Rock showing up just before Wrestlemania and placing himself as the main character is getting a bit old. If it was anyone but the Rock, people would be really annoyed.
The Cena heel turn I'm okay with, because isn't that how wrestlers used to retire?
I used to be back in the day with Trish and Lita, but then they did their feminist "Women's Revolution" movement which they tried to play off as organic, but was wholly manufactured by Stephanie McMahon which completely soured me on the women. They gave the women identical matches to to the men and even gave the women their own all female PPV called "Evolution" which bombed hard and was such a raging dumpster fire they haven't dared try it again.
I always hated Cena as a character. I never really had much of a problem with the man himself until he apologized to China for correctly calling Taiwan a country. He showed how much of a bitch he was with that. That said I'm curious to see what they do with Dark Cena.
Thank you for saying this lol - NOT ONE FUCKING PERSON ON THE PLANET had a problem with the 'Divas' era aside from loud eggless harpies. Even the wrestlers themselves didn't mind it, until years later when they stopped getting booked and started getting real busted, then they suddenly cared.
I will always hate left cunts for taking away my Divas, among many other things.
Cena does seem like a really nice guy, but maybe too much of a company man. That apology was really silly. He'll show his belly to his corporate backers.
There are talented women but there seems to be more botches with them and it's always oversell anything they do.
Cena heel turn is way too late but I liked it. No surprise with Canadian fans. I don’t mind the Rock since he is one of my favorites. I’m not as engaged anymore so names from back when I was more engaged will get my attention. I don’t bother with wrestling forums anymore. So many young fans are babies and are outraged by attitude era or think Hogan using n word is worse than Benoit.
That whole seperate the art from the artist thing for Benoit is a weird argument when you boo Hogan for saying a word in private.
People like the Rock, so he is getting away with just showing up during Wrestlemania season and is put in the main event scene.
Yea Rock is one of my all time favorites along with Taker and I’ve even seen morons who “can’t listen to his podcast” because he supports Trump.
The weekly shows have been lagging quite a bit since the move to Netflix, but this was a much needed jolt in the arm. Now it's all about the follow up. I also say better late than never regarding Cena's heel turn. So long as we get a good 9 month stint of heel Cena I'll be satisfied.
It can work, but Cena needs to keep up a constant TV presence and fight at least once or twice a month. 2012 is when everyone was getting tired of Super Cena (but not to the point they were in 2014/2015 when they were loudly chanting 'John Cena Sucks' every match he had) and it was right in the middle of his year-long feud with The Rock, so it would have been the perfect time to turn him heel for a couple years.
Yep. Just like Hogan was getting booed and people were tired of him. I say Hogan still has the best heel turn ever. That promo was epic along with the trash in the ring.
