One of the top posts at the moment is [this post]https://kotakuinaction2.win/p/19AKcya4oe/usaid-was-sending-millions-to-a-/c/) by a guy calling himself theaustrianpainter claiming that some university in Israel is receiving hundreds of millions from USAID.
Obviously, this is false, and it's an intentional deception by the individual who created this. This form has absolutely nothing to do with USAID. It's a so called 'Form 990' for organizations exempt from income taxes. The part where this is mentioned was cropped out by people who wanted to deceive those who don't do any research.
This is what the top part looks like.
Also, let's be real. USAID giving hundreds of millions to one organization in a developed country out of $40 billion doesn't pass the smell test. Even the cropped part of that form is obviously no grant document, and the text at the top talks about the 'EXEMPT PURPOSE'. Also, the part highlighted talked about EXPENSES.
There was a time when KiA forums were sticklers for accuracy, perhaps even overly so. Now obvious falsehoods, which don't pass the smell test, which can be refuted by simply looking at them, which can be definitively refuted with 3 minutes of research as I did, as promoted simply because some people want to believe it.
Why? Money.
