Those for whom identity is paramount will always prioritize their own. It is very important to gatekeep such people from positions of authority, especially in any capacity involving admissions, hiring, or promotion. You can have a diversity of productive cogs based on the merit of their capabilities, but the decision makers - with respect to personnel - cannot be identitarians.
Ironically, the only non-identitarians left are straight white/Asian men. Everyone else has been trained to advantage their own identity groups. Meanwhile, the hiring managers and HR departments are almost completely dominated by openly sexist/racist leftist ideologues.
