I do not know, but I strongly suspect that the British class system has something (I cannot yet identify what) to do with it. Then-PM Gordon Brown was able to send around a "circular" to all plod around the country announcing, basically, that since these underage girls were essentially white trash, they ought to be considered as consenting and no police ought to get involved.
France had a touch of it, and arrested the rapists involved- deterrent achieved. Same for the Netherlands, and same for Belgium.
Only Britain was instructed not to touch these rapists - this after reports of a 12 yr old getting her tongue being nailed to a table as she was being mass-raped, and an 11 yr old being raped with a broken bottle, destroying her internal organs. She spent six months in hospital and can never have children. Knowing all that, Gordon Brown sent all police in Britain a stand down notice.
I hope the truly evil people who read these reports and STILL commanded that police universally stand down because they were "slags" (at 11 yrs old- hardly likely) burn in hell, but before they do, I want to see them tried and imprisoned.
