I'll say this for grunge; at least they were real bands with real musicians actually playing instruments and writing their own songs. As bad as grunge could be, it was really part of the last dominant age of real bands. Since the 00s, the dominant music has been studio produced autotuned synthetic tracks with either pop star whores or rappers dubbed over it, with a dash of limp wristed emo soycucks thrown in too. Any real music is just done by gig musicians who aren't even part of the 'band'. There was an age where teenage boys would argue who the best drummer was or best guitar player. Does anyone even know who plays drums on a Bruno Mars or Billie Eilish song? The age of real bands ended after the 90s, and we've been stuck in morass of artificial music for a quarter of a century now.
