The same people who rail against fascism and want to abolish the police wish to be the enforcers of a powerful one-party state with the power to crush dissent, because that dissent is immoral.

Nothing legitimizes the unethical treatment of others more than the belief that you are more ethical than them. Every dictatorship on earth began as a campaign for justice.
