I highly, highly doubt this "news". ISIS was entirely created, funded, armed, trained, and led by Western backed powers, the most predominant being the U.S. and Israel. Why would we bomb our own assets?
There's obviously more to the story, or this is a straight up lie. It could be that they're bombing legitimate Islamists who joined ISIS for their own causes, people who are naturally anti-West and anti-Israel, and the West is killing them to keep ISIS focused on Western interests. Or, the West is bombing remaining Assad forces, or Christian civilians, or Syrian civilians forming militias to protect themselves from Western backed """rebels""" like ISIS, and the West is just lying about who they're attacking, to assuage the public while secretly supporting ISIS, while making the outward and false claim "see, I'm helping kill terrorists, I'm the good guy".
Because we got new toys. We're back on Al-Qaeda's side, ISIS is old news.
Also, I think Al-Qaeda is some other US agency, and ISIS is CIA, or some nonsense like that, and they were literally fighting each other. So the answer could also be "Our government is fucking retarded."
Well, yeah, there are disparate interests and groups in these countries. The CIA and Mossad try to infiltrate and control all of them, but just like the West, they can't control everyone. Each group may be infiltrated to a greater or lesser degree, or entirely captured and run by Western interests. The specifics are unknown, but the generalities are obvious. But your sentiment holds the same warning I give to others who accredit too much to the people in power, that they're all powerful and monolithic, which just isn't true.
